Taylor Willingham was born in Brazosport, Texas. In grade school, he was very active in sports (football and basketball) and with scouting. Taylor is an Eagle Scout and has many stories of camping trips with his father throughout the Western United States. After graduating from Springville High School, Taylor served a two year church mission to the Philippines. While living in the Philippines, he learned to speak Tagolog (filipino).

Taylor undergraduate degree is from Utah State University where he graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences. He met his wife, Julie Budge, at Utah State University and they were married December 27, 2003. While at Utah State,  he played for the USU Rugby team and was second runner-up for Mr. USU.

Taylor attended law school at Texas Tech University School of Law and also received a Masters in Personal Finance from Texas Tech.While in law school,  Taylor formed two companies Morgan and Willingham Investment group, LLC and SketchLaw. Taylor and Julie have two boys Dallin Willingham and Ka'i Willingham.
