At Davis & Associates, Petra  works as a paralegal.  She brings more than 10 years of experience in the immigration field to our team.  Her experience involves family, asylum and employment based cases.  She also has experience in preparing I-601 waiver packets.  Petra speaks, reads and writes Spanish and is one of the firm’s translators.

Petra L. Melendez was born in Elmhurst, Illinois after her parents emigrated to the U.S. from Mexico in the 1970’s.  Because several of her family members have gone through the process of immigrating to this country, she understands how difficult immigration can be.  Her personal connection with immigration factors greatly in the proper handling she gives to each case that crosses her desk.  She gives 110% on at all times.  Petra loves the work that she does in immigration and is willing to take every measure to get a case approved.

After work hours she enjoys spending time with her family on family trips and outside activities with the children.
