Ana F. Olivares joined the Law Offices of Garry L. Davis in 2007. Her interest in immigration law stems from being an immigrant herself. Ms. Olivares was born in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico and raised in Houston, TX. She has an undergraduate degree in Management Information Systems from the University of Texas at Austin. Ms. Olivares received her Juris Doctor from the University of Texas School of Law in 2006. She was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 2007. Ms. Olivares is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association.

At the University of Texas School of Law, Ms. Olivares participated in the school’s Immigration Clinic for two semesters where she represented clients in removal proceedings as a student attorney. After graduating from law school in 2006, Ms. Olivares worked for Catholic Charities of Dallas, Inc., a nonprofit organization which provides immigration legal services to low-income people and to immigrant victims of crime and domestic violence. Ms. Olivares has focused her practice on immigration law, including removal defense, family-based immigration, naturalization, and the Violence Against Women Act.
